  • Your name:  Mrs. Klobe

What are two things every teacher should own?  Chalkboard, a gentle hand for a pat on the back/hug

What profession other than teaching would you most like to try?  Nursing

Who was your favorite teacher and why?  Miss Ellis, my first-grade teacher.  She never gave up on me.

Where are you from and where did you grow up?  I grew up in a small town of 140 people.  It was great; every neighbor was like another parent.

    What are your hobbies?  Teaching

What type of music do you listen to?  Beverly Sills

Last book you read?  A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens (again!)

Where is the best place to which you have traveled?  San Diego.  I thought Paradise must be like that.  They actually have flowers growing on trees.

Which three people, living or dead, would you invite to a dinner party?  C.S. Lewis because every time I read his works again, I learn something new.  Second, my grandmother.  She died before she could talk with me about her steel faith.  Lastly, the woman who designed our curriculum.  She is a genius.

What is the best book you have ever read?  Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis

What is your favorite thing about working at St. Scholastica?  I love the freedom to teach each child in a way they need to learn.  The curriculum is fluid for different learning styles.

What is your favorite subject to teach?  History

Do you have a favorite sport?  Baseball

Your favorite movie?  The Trip to Bountiful (the old one)

What is your favorite holiday?  Why?  Christmas.  It brings back the most memories of good times.

Favorite saint or scripture story?  St. Teresa of Avila

Favorite song or singer?  Beverly Sills

What grades have you taught?  Most all of them
